Visiting Kansas State University will give you a better feel for campus. Find out why K-State is a good fit for you by experiencing K-State in person.

What you can do on a campus visit

Take a student-led walking tour of campus. You'll see large and small classrooms, residence halls, dining center, Hale Library and more.
Meet with an admissions representative. They'll tell you more about the application process and answer your questions.
Meet with an academic advisor or professor in your preferred major.
Meet with student financial assistance to learn about scholarships and additional opportunities to help pay for college.
Meet K-State students and learn about student life, activities, organizations and services that might interest you.

Schedule your campus visit

Personal campus visits require ten to fourteen days notice and are offered Monday through Friday. To schedule your visit, call us at 1-800-432-8270 or 785-532-6250.

A list of dates you are able to visit (check the calendar for possible dates)
Estimated arrival and departure times. Appointments are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What you can do on a group visit

Kindergarten and up

Baseball stadium: Fourth grade and up. See the players’ lounges, locker room, field, dugouts, weight room, press box and baseball indoor facility.
*Tours only available in the mornings.
Beach Museum of Art: Any age. Take the “Sandzen to Sudlow” tour of the permanent collections and special exhibitions. Tours are aligned with state education standards and include age-appropriate art activities.
Bramlage Coliseum: School age and up. Tour Bramlage Coliseum, an indoor practice building and other athletic areas. Visit requests subject to availability. Tours are not available on the day of scheduled events.
*No tours offered during the summer.
Call Hall dairy bar: Any age. Choose from one of more than 30 flavors made right here on campus. Check for latest prices.
Call Hall Dairy processing plant: Ages 7 and up. The dairy processing plant is a 9,600-square-foot facility equipped to make a variety of dairy products.
Campus tour: Any age. Walking tour of campus, guided by current K-State students.
Chemistry magic show: Fourth grade and up. Watch a demonstration of flashy chemistry tricks to get younger students excited about science.
Dairy unit: Any age. Observe cows being milked and fed, and see the handling facility. Viewing of calves is limited and depends on time of year.
E. Goodnow House state historic site: Kindergarten and up. Tour the home of Isaac and Ellen Goodnow, dating from 1861, with many of their furnishings. Isaac Goodnow was a town founder and one of the founders of what is now K-State.
Hale Library: Kindergarten and up. Tours are customized for specific age groups and can include: "Harry Potter Room," story time, historic K-State items, shelves that go "squish," and technology, including scanners, self-check machines and giant collaboration stations.
Insect zoo: Any age. See the many exhibits of live insects and their relatives, as well as displays featuring preserved specimens. Tours are highly interactive. Entry fee required.
International Student Center: Third grade and up. Learn about the International Student Center, and then hear a presentation by an international student about his or her home country.
Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research: Any age. Start with a brief overview at the center administrative office, then take a tour of an affiliated laboratory in the building.
Konza Prairie: Any age. Hike a nature trail with trained guides or visit the bison herd. Learn about tallgrass prairie and ecological research. Walking and driving tour available. Entry fee required.
KSU TRIGA Mark II nuclear reactor: Fourth grade and up. See presentations on K-State reactor uses, principles of radiation and nuclear reactors in general. Observe the reactor during operation. More extensive educational exercises and experiments available on request.
K-State Alumni Center: Any age. Tour the Alumni Center and see the aquarium filled with purple fish in the Barrett Wildcat Den. Visitors can view historic K-State memorabilia or look up friends and family in the yearbooks found in the Hagans Library.
K-State Student Union: Third grade and up. Walk through all operating areas and learn the history of the Union.
K-State Student Union recreation center: Any age. The Recreation Center has 13 billiard tables, 16 bowling lanes, video and pinball machines, a Subway sandwich shop, refreshments and much more.
Manhattan Fire Department: First grade and up. Tour the station and truck room, see equipment, and watch a safety video and a demo on how to get out of a room (for kids). The fire puppy may appear if prior arrangements have been made.
McCain Auditorium: Second grade and up. Tour includes all areas of a working large-format theater.
Physics demonstration: Kindergarten and up. See physics properties in action.
Riley County Historical Museum: Kindergarten and up. See exhibits on Riley County history, including "The Land and the People" and "The Household Work Week." Special exhibits. Guided or self-guided tours.
Sheep and meat goat unit: Any age. Guests may be able to see lambs (baby sheep) and/or kids (baby goats), depending on season. Mature sheep and goats are always available for viewing. Shearing demonstrations and wool are typically available in the spring.
University gardens: Any age. Self-guided tour through the exotic plant collection rose garden and the development of the K-State gardens.
University Printing: First grade and up. Tour the printing facilities, and see the different printing processes from design to finish and delivery.
Vanier Football Complex: Kindergarten and up. See behind the scenes of Wildcat Football. Tours are only offered in May
Wolf House Museum: Kindergarten and up. The exhibit is a portrayal of domestic life in 1885 and includes many unique accessories of the time period.

Middle School and up

Historic costume and textile museum: Middle school and up. Tours feature gallery exhibits and displays throughout Justin Hall and showcase vintage clothing and cultural objects.
Insect zoo: Any age. See the many exhibits of live insects and their relatives, as well as displays featuring preserved specimens. Tours are highly interactive. Entry fee required.
International Grains Program building: Middle school and up. This facility features an auditorium-style classroom, 30 grain-grading stations, a dockage separator, sizing equipment and more.
International Student Center: Third grade and up. Learn about the International Student Center, and then hear a presentation by an international student about his or her home country.

Bioprocessing and Industrial Value Added Program building (BIVAP): Ninth grade and up. The 33,000-square-foot facility features labs, pilot plants, offices, conference rooms, areas for pilot-scale processing, space for bench-top research and testing, and more.
Bramlage Coliseum: School age and up. Tour Bramlage Coliseum, an indoor practice building and other athletic areas. Visit requests subject to availability. Tours are not available on the day of scheduled events.

Feed Mill: See actual livestock feed produced, the equipment used in feed manufacturing (mixers, pellet mill, bagging equipment), and look at a variety of common and novel feed ingredients. Selected days only.
